Position Overview

Forge Truck Centers is seeking a results-driven Senior Human Resources Generalist to manage the full-funnel execution of HR initiatives in alignment with senior leadership. This role is responsible for delivering day-to-day HR support across all aspects of the HR spectrum, including talent acquisition/onboarding, employee relations, compensation & benefits, HR operations and more. It will require a hands-on professional who can operate at both the strategic and tactical levels to help build the HR function for a high growth company.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Compliance Manager to maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations as well as recommend best practices
  • Work hand-in-hand with Compliance Manager to expand/deploy current training and complete annual compliance report filing
  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including job description development, sourcing, screening, offer and onboarding
  • Work hand-in-hand with leadership to develop standardized employee onboarding as well as specialized onboarding for different company divisions
  • Responsible for the administration of company benefits, including health plans, retirement plans, etc.
  • Support Branch Managers on operational procedures surrounding personnel
  • Collaborate with Finance Team to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation (Paycor experience preferred)
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution
  • Develop and support performance management processes, including review cycles, employee development and retention efforts
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR programs and initiatives surrounding training and development, employee handbook, employee engagement and more
  • Support the entire employee lifecycle
  • Track and report on HR metrics to support business decisions, maintaining data integrity
  • Evaluate new HRIS for rollout and implementation
  • Maintain high level of responsiveness, including timely escalation support



Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5+ years of related work experience in at least one of the following:
  • Supporting diverse HR functions
  • Administering benefits programs, including managing open enrollment
  • Talent acquisition (including use of ATS) and onboarding
  • Analyzing HRIS and payroll reports to support data-driven decision making
  • Working knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws, as well as familiarity with OSHA safety regulations (DOT, EPA FMSCA preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and work effectively with both shop floor employees as well as leadership team
  • Knowledge and comfort working within HRIS
  • Ability to work within the Microsoft platform (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring efficiency, accuracy and timely execution
  • Adaptable and flexible working style to meet shifting business needs
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making, attention to detail and administrative skills

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Prior HR experience in trucking, transportation, heavy equipment, or industrial industries
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or other relevant HR certification
  • Strong business acumen
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

What We Offer

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
