Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior High-Speed Photodiode Design Engineer based in Cupertino, CA, with some flexibility to work from home. Responsibilities include designing and developing high-speed photodiodes for use in Silicon Photonics applications. The role entails performing electrical, optical, and mechanical simulations, leading product design processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and solving complex technical challenges. The candidate will be expected to contribute to innovation, ensure design quality, and support the testing and validation of groundbreaking photonics technologies.


Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Design Engineering and Product Design.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Engineering and knowledge of high-speed optoelectronic devices.
  • Experience with Mechanical Engineering and structural optimization for photonics applications.
  • Skill in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for designing and modeling intricate photonic components.
  • Analytical abilities to solve complex design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optoelectronics, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Silicon Photonics and high-speed optical device fabrication is considered a significant asset.
