We design and build highly specialized end-of-line (EOL) gauging, assembly, balance, and test systems for automotive powertrains (axles, transmissions, clutches, etc.).
These machines go straight into high-volume OEM production lines at Stellantis, Ford, American Axle, etc.
In this role you will:
- Build, qualify, and troubleshoot both static and dynamic gauging stations for powertrain products (backlash, static gauging, end of line testing).
- Proficient in the alignment, measurement and tuning of driveline assemblies.
- Achieve and maintain single-digit micron repeatability and pass strict Gauge R&R studies.
- Work with engineering to identify and address stack-up errors during the build process.
- Ability to mentor, direct and lead smaller built teams.
- Travel on short notice for installs, commissioning, and emergency fixes at customer sites.
- Ability to engage with OEM customers who themselves have gauging experts.
