The Fixed Asset Senior Accountant position will be part of a dynamic Asset Management Team that also works closely with general accounting, financial planning & analysis, facilities, operations, and engineering across multiple sites. Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Because of the nature of this role, it may be performed in a full-time remote capacity. Therefore, full-time remote work may be considered for the right individual. If full-time remote, the team's preference is that this individual would reside within a reasonable driving distance from Endicott, NY, as this person will be required to attend regular meetings at our facility there. Our on-site meeting cadence is approximately once per month, and this individual must be willing to travel to Endicott on at least that schedule.
Ensures the accuracy of the fixed asset register by reviewing capital expenditure requests, appropriately capitalizing completed fixed assets and monitoring, performing annual fixed asset inventories, and cycle count procedures at various sites
Participates in forecasting and monitoring capital expenditures and depreciation expense for the US Controls segment
Works with functional representatives to review Requests for Capital Expenditure (RCEs) for completeness and accuracy before submitting to management
Ensures fixed assets are capitalized appropriately and in a timely manner
Ensures completion of journal entries in line with requirements
Ensures timely processing of fixed asset request forms and asset dispositions
Participates in fixed asset cycle counts and annual inventories across multiple sites and regularly communicates results to leadership
Ensures all control requirements are met timely and accurately, both internal and external audits are fully supported, and requirements are met
Works functionally to forecast and track capital expenditure and depreciation expense, including regular communication to senior leadership
Performs variance analysis on both capital expenditure and depreciation to understand and communicate significant drivers
Responsible for month-end closing duties, inclusive of account reconciliations and COSA requirements
Ensures all COSA documents are gathered, reviewed and submitted timely to support compliance activities.
Completes walk through on process documents to make sure they align with current company policy requirements and complete annual FAP Compliance reviews to ensure team is exposed to requirements.
Ensure compliance with company policy and procedure regarding fixed assets
Participates in or contributes to process and quality improvement teams and/or initiatives. Identifies and recommends improvements to processes and practices. Supports and implements performance driven changes.
Ensures accurate maintenance of master lease tables and Lease Accelerator inputs/output
Completes monthly lease review and proactively support renewals
Organizes and leads monthly business and functional spending reviews for capital spend
Presents monthly results at MFR and Round Table reviews
Ensures accurate forecasting of QBR and variance analysis vs. prior forecast and actuals (capital spend timing, depreciation, lease accounting)
Ensures that Risks and Opportunities to half and full year are identified and communicated
Proactively work with teams to minimize unexpected carryover and/or process delays (AP/Procurement/Requestor)
Supports business and team on successful delivery of CARB forecast and provides accurate and timely updates during monthly reviews and QBRs
Leads CARB Creation of consolidating inputs and organizing results with site leadership, supports local leadership and delivers timely inputs to division, to include 1-N lists for Yearly Budget in addition to carryover.
Reviews current processes for any opportunity of automation either via process change or system implementation. Improvements should follow a standard DMAIC format to demonstrate expected efficiency gains.
Oversee the FAP Compliance of the business to include providing accounting guidance, FAP reviews and documentation of necessary waivers.
Ensure detailed Procedure documentation exists and is in proper format and location with annual certification.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting; other Bachelor's degree disciplines will be considered if the individual also possesses an MBA or related Master's degree in a finance, accounting or related business discipline.
This role will require strong communication and problem-solving skills
The individual must be team oriented and able to work independently with limited supervision
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)

Experience with Hyperion and Oracle
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Master’s degree
