We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-driven Senior Finance Manager to support the acquisition, capitalization, and development of multifamily assets. This role is heavily transaction-focused, with responsibility for underwriting deals, structuring financing, and managing the full lifecycle of development transactions from initial screening through closing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Underwriting & Investment Analysis
- Lead detailed financial underwriting for new development and acquisition opportunities
- Evaluate returns including IRR, equity multiple, and yield on cost
- Conduct market analysis including rents, comps, and absorption trends
- Partner with development and acquisitions teams to assess feasibility
2. Transaction Execution
- Drive the execution of acquisitions, dispositions, and joint venture transactions
- Coordinate due diligence process (legal, financial, tax, and technical)
- Manage data rooms and investor materials during transactions
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely closings
- Review and analyze purchase agreements, JV agreements, and financing documents
3. Capital Markets & Financing
- Lead debt sourcing and financing strategy (construction loans, permanent debt)
- Interface with lenders, brokers, and equity partners
- Prepare lender packages, underwriting submissions, and investment memoranda
- Negotiate financing terms and support loan closing process
- Assist in structuring JV equity partnerships and promote structures
4. Development Finance Oversight
- Partner with development team on budgets, pro formas, and capital stacks
- Monitor project financial performance vs. underwriting
- Support draw requests and lender reporting during construction
- Analyze cost changes and impact on returns
5. Portfolio & Strategic Analysis
- Track pipeline deals and maintain investment committee materials
- Support portfolio-level analysis including performance and risk exposure
- Assist leadership with strategic capital allocation decisions
You must have experience working for a multifamily developer to be considered for the position.
