Position Overview
Adaptive Senior Living is seeking a highly disciplined, hands-on, and results-driven Senior Executive Director to lead an assisted living and memory care community with full accountability for both operations and sales performance.
This role is responsible for the community's overall success, including operations, resident care, team leadership, occupancy growth, financial outcomes, and regulatory compliance. In addition, this role directly owns and executes all sales and occupancy development efforts, ensuring a consistent, high-performing sales process from lead generation through move-in.
The Senior Executive Director serves as the leader of the community and the driver of census growth—holding full accountability for both operational execution and sales results. This individual operates with urgency, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
· Oversee all aspects of community operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, service, safety, and compliance.
· Ensure full compliance with all state and federal regulations governing assisted living and memory care.
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and resident satisfaction.
· Maintain a strong, visible leadership presence within the community.
· Hold department leaders accountable for execution, performance, and outcomes.
Sales Leadership and Occupancy Growth
· Own and execute all sales and occupancy development efforts within the community.
· Manage all incoming leads, ensuring timely follow-up and consistent engagement.
· Execute a structured sales process from initial inquiry through move-in.
· Conduct tours that are personalized, informative, and reflective of Adaptive Senior
Living standards.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead tracking within CRM systems.
· Drive urgency, accountability, and consistency across all aspects of the sales process.
External Business Development and Referral Growth
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, rehab centers, physicians, and community organizations.
· Conduct regular outreach and in-person visits to build and sustain referral pipelines.
· Establish the community as a trusted partner within the local healthcare and senior services network.
· Identify new opportunities for partnership and business development.
Marketing and Community Presence
· Partner with marketing to support campaigns, events, and outreach initiatives.
· Ensure the community maintains a strong, professional, and consistent presence in the market.
· Participate in community events, networking opportunities, and local engagement activities.
· Monitor market trends and competitive positioning and adjust strategies accordingly.
Financial and Business Management
· Lead the financial performance of the community, including budget adherence, expense management, and revenue growth.
· Ensure achievement of NOI, revenue, and expense targets.
· Manage labor, contract labor, and departmental expenses to maintain financial discipline.
· Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Partner with the home office support center to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Team Leadership and Culture
· Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing department leaders and team members.
· Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and respect aligned with the Adaptive Way.
· Provide coaching, performance management, and development opportunities.
· Ensure strong communication and collaboration across all departments.
· Hold leaders accountable for team engagement, retention, and performance.
Resident Experience and Quality of Care
· Ensure delivery of high-quality care and services that meet or exceed the resident and family expectations.
· Monitor resident satisfaction and implement improvements as needed.
· Ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all residents.
· Partner with clinical and operations teams to maintain excellence in care delivery.
Compliance, Risk Management, and Safety
· Ensure readiness for all regulatory surveys and inspections.
· Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
· Partner with People, Culture, and Development on team member relations, compliance, and training.
· Maintain a safe environment for residents and team members.
Move-In Coordination and Transition
· Ensure a seamless and positive move-in experience for all new residents.
· Partner with operations, resident care, and business office teams to ensure readiness.
· Ensure all required documentation and processes are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
· 5+ years of leadership experience in senior living or a related industry.
· Proven ability to lead both operations and sales performance.
· Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving occupancy growth.
· Experience managing sales processes, CRM systems, and lead conversion strategies.
· Knowledge of state regulations governing assisted living communities.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
· Demonstrated ability to operate with accountability, discipline, and sound judgment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
Primary work will be performed in a community setting; frequent walking, standing, and engagement with residents, families, referral partners, and team members; occasional travel for outreach and networking; occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
