Join Sellen’s Team. Come Build with Us.Sellen's Senior Estimator leads construction cost estimating during the preconstruction and construction phases of a project. The Senior Estimator will lead target value delivery, including target cost model development, benchmarking studies, target cost model validation, project working team leadership, and real-time cost status summary management throughout the preconstruction phase.The successful Senior Estimator will develop durable target cost models, maintain constant budget transparency across project OAC teams, lead budget - scope alignment with project Owner & Design teams, & eliminate waste associated with budget over-runs and recovery VE. The Senior Estimator will attend regular design meetings, track and communicate cost drivers and cost change during the design development stages, including providing technical and analytical estimating support to preconstruction, construction, and design teams. The Senior Estimator is responsible for all aspects of estimate development.
  • The position is located in South Lake Union full-time.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, or Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
  • 10+ years' of directly applicable work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years' management experience.
KNOWLEDGE
  • Deep knowledge and expertise evaluating and estimating construction projects.
  • Proficiency with Windows and the full MS Office suite.
  • Strong computer skills including well-developed expertise with estimating and takeoff software (i.e., Timberline, OST, Assemble Software, Bluebeam, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, means and methods.
  • Familiarity with model-based estimating is preferred.

  • Understand construction documents and how they are read and interpreted.
  • Ability to provide a complete estimate during all phases of the design process.

  • Fluency in construction processes, means, and methods to construction estimating.
The full salary range for this position is$147,000 to $187,000. New hires typically start between $147,000 and $173,000, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. The bonus target for this role is 7.5% of annual base earnings.
