Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 0 years of experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Job Summary
General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking an experienced former US Navy Submarine Sonar Technician to join our team as a Senior Engineering Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining the AN/BQQ-10 sonar system, with a deep understanding of its installation, operation, and life cycle support requirements. Candidates should have demonstrated proficiency in developing training materials for submarine sonar systems, as well as hands-on experience creating, navigating, and utilizing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs). This role supports the development and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products for the US Navy, and we are looking for someone who can bring real-world fleet experience and technical expertise to our team. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
