  • Lead sustaining engineering activities to ensure support of manufacturing operations through deviations, change requests, VAVE, and supply chain obsolescence activities.
  • Work collaboratively with product line value streams and R&D teams to achieve objectives and produce necessary deliverables.
  • Continuously improve systems engineering and sustaining engineering processes to meet increasing year-over-year goals.
  • Achieve On Time Delivery (OTD) of projects, inquiries, and other time sensitive deliverables such as stress analysis reports, reliability reports, and other systems engineering documents.
  • Manage the development and release of Qualification Test Procedures (QTP) and Qualification Test Reports (QTR) for submittal to customers.
  • Deliver a Systems based approach to new product development throughout the product lifecycle, by providing support from early-stage concept thinking, through requirement definition, system analysis and modelling, through integration, verification, validation, and qualification.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent technical field with minimum 10 years’ technical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical supervisory experience.
  • Experience with applying lean product development tools (e.g., DBS) in the engineering environment.
  • Experience managing a highly technical engineering team (e.g., design, analysis, qualification, reliability, and air worthiness) and compliance (e.g., REACH) in a highly regulated industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
