Role Summary

The role incumbent takes over the role of Project Logistics Planner within a project performing the logistics tasks as defined in the xSEP

Main Tasks
  • Setup, review and update Material Planning & Logistics Checklist at relevant Gates (xSEP)
  • Plan and coordinate trial production to ensure delivery of pre-series parts
  • Define logistics concepts (incl. packaging, transport and material flow)
  • Calculation of logistics costs (handling, warehousing & transport)
  • Support Layout planning for new production line considering logistics aspects
  • Define packaging definition for WIP and purchased components for new projects taking into account requirements of PPE
  • Define the relevant logistic equipment
  • Create / Update SAP master data
  • Foreseen demands in SAP (EDI, Portal, Internal requests, paper orders) and ensure that all of it is considered in planning (Miniumum visibility is expected – if not available this has to be provided by Program Manager)
  • Communicate with purchasing to assure availability of purchased components for internal and external needs (mentioned above)
  • Plan production of in-house components to ensure on-time
  • Assure internal transport of purchased parts to pre-series production stock
  • Assure PO (production orders) and pre-series production trials, IPTs or other production runs are properly planed in SAP and production plans
  • Assure availability of purchased parts and WIP parts for production run
  • Ensure availability of standard or alternative packaging
  • Maintain and update all information and documents relevant for the processes in the M+H document management system (CDB) during the project phases
  • Report Project Maturity Confirmation (PMC) at relevant Gates and receive approval from Manager;
  • Contribute to project success by regular attendance of project team meetings, reporting of status and co-operation with other team members
Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Competencies)
  • University degree or relevant education in the field of Business Administration with specialization in Logistics
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • customer and supplier orientation, organization and coordination skills, self-initiative and ability to work under pressure
  • Communication skills
  • Good understanding of M+H products and processes
  • Knowledge in relevant IT tools (MS Office, SAP, etc.)
  • Knowledge in relevant norms / standards
