The Offshore Substation Electrical Engineer shall support the technical delivery for offshore substations and offshore converter platforms (HVAC and/or HVDC). The role provides engineering support from concept and FEED through detailed design and commissioning support, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, optimised, and delivered to programme and quality expectations.
• Act as technical engineer and designer for offshore substation engineering.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering delivery across internal teams, partners, and suppliers.
• Work in compliance with applicable international standards and project specifications.
• Manage technical risk, change control, and design assurance activities.
• Working with the OSS lead, manage / coordinate technical interfaces with OSS lead and / or technical project leads supporting clients, OEMs, contractors, and verification bodies.
• Support procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
Typical Systems Scope
HV/MV/LV systems, transformers, GIS/AIS, reactors and compensation, protection & control, SCADA and communications, earthing and lightning protection, auxiliary power systems, cable systems and terminations.
