About our group:

We are part of the Advanced Reliability group in the Product Assurance organization. The Advanced Reliability group plays a key role in protecting our customers and our company by pursuing test and field software solutions, field analytics, and technology staging. The test engineering team supports these goals by managing test beds, driving test suite development and assisting in the development of analytic tools and processes

About the role - you will:

  • Engage with cross functional teams to support technology development projects
  • Explore test data and generate reports to assist with feature decision making
  • Drive direction on technology adaptations within the reliability test suite
  • Develop new or adapted test strategies to meet changing field demands
  • Work with the internal reliability teams and other stakeholders on the development of tools and automated reporting solutions

Your experience includes:

  • Participation in cross functional teams focused on resolving engineering issues.
  • Test planning and execution
  • Test development
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with statistical / analytic applications & software (JMP, Reliasoft, R, MatLab, etc)
  • Exposure to quality and reliability characterizations
  • Understanding and experience with drive logging and parametrics
  • Knowledge of customer environments, customer expectations, field criteria, and field usage of Seagate products

You might also have:

  • Experience in software development (Python, JSL, etc)
  • Experience with database and data flow structures supporting large scale testing
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $92,310.40 - $131,994.70. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
