Job Title: Senior Power Electronics Engineer – Traction Inverter Development

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and execution-oriented Senior Power Electronics Engineer to support the development of next-generation high-voltage traction inverters for electric vehicle applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in power electronics design, validation, testing, troubleshooting, and system integration, with a focus on high-voltage automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support traction inverter systems for electric vehicle applications.
- Design, bring up, characterize, validate, and troubleshoot high-voltage traction inverters.
- Create and review circuit schematics and PCB layouts for performance, signal integrity, and manufacturability.
- Perform power electronics design analysis including circuit, thermal, and control system analysis.
- Conduct root cause investigations and failure analysis for hardware issues.
- Develop and support design verification, validation, and end-of-line (EOL) test specifications.
- Execute high-voltage testing and validation activities on power electronic systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain.
- Support product development from concept through production launch.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 2+ years focused on power electronics product development.
- Strong experience designing and developing high-voltage power electronics systems.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, and analysis tools.
- Experience with PCB design and layout considerations for signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability.
- Hands-on experience in high-voltage testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices including IGBTs, MOSFETs, and power modules.
- Experience performing hardware debugging, characterization, and root cause analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute in a fast-paced development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of three-phase inverter design and motor control systems.
- Experience in automotive power electronics and safety-critical hardware development.
- Familiarity with automotive development processes and functional safety standards.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to power electronics products.
- Experience supporting products through validation, manufacturing launch, and production.
