Senior Electrical Estimator - Industrial

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Electrical Estimator, who holds a master-electrician license, to join our team. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of industrial projects and providing detailed proposals to our manufacturing customers. Your expertise in project management, negotiation, and construction estimating will be crucial in ensuring the success of our projects.

Duties:

- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical and industrial controls projects

- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project requirements

- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions

- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses

- Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project costs

- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing

- Utilize industry-standard software to create comprehensive estimates

- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project

- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure cost control measures are implemented

Qualifications:

• Must own master-electrician license
• Must have experience with industrial electrical estimating
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Experience with programmable logic controllers is required
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Familiarity with contract documents such as NEC (New Engineering Contract)
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
