We’re looking for an experienced Senior EHS Consultant specializing in Industrial Hygiene to support pharmaceutical and life sciences clients in the Raleigh area.
In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor—helping clients stay compliant, reduce risk, and create safer, more sustainable work environments. You’ll lead industrial hygiene programs, work directly with manufacturing teams, and mentor junior consultants along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Evaluate occupational exposure risks for chemicals and compounds using OEB (Occupational Exposure Banding)
- Design and lead industrial hygiene sampling plans (NIOSH, OSHA, ACGIH methods)
- Analyze data and recommend practical controls (engineering, administrative, PPE)
- Conduct exposure monitoring (dust, vapors, gases), noise assessments, and ergonomic evaluations
- Assess ventilation systems, containment enclosures, and fume hoods in manufacturing environments
- Perform workplace safety inspections and ensure proper PPE usage
- Identify hazards (chemical, biological, physical) and recommend mitigation strategies
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Partner with client teams to improve safety programs and compliance practices
- Support development of safety policies, procedures, and job hazard analyses
- Mentor and guide junior EHS consultants
What You Bring
- 4+ years of hands-on industrial hygiene experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or life sciences
- Strong experience assessing exposure risks and recommending effective controls
- Ability to independently design and execute sampling plans
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Safety, or related field
- Strong communication skills—you’re comfortable working directly with clients
- Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to stay calm and effective in fast-paced or high-stakes environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Work authorization in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
Nice to Have
- Consulting or client-facing experience
- Familiarity with cGMP environments
- Certifications/training such as OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, ABSA, or DOT/IATA
- Membership in a professional safety organization
