Overview

Park Dental Partners is seeking a Senior Director of Real Estate & Facility Development to lead the strategic planning, development, execution, and ongoing management of the organization’s real estate portfolio and physical facilities. This role oversees new site development, renovations and capital projects, while also driving day-to-day facilities operations and facilities-related procurement to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations, the Senior Director will partner closely with operations, finance, clinical leadership, and external partners to ensure facilities are delivered and maintained in a manner that supports operational excellence, growth objectives, cost discipline, and an exceptional team member and patient experience.

The Senior Director will also lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Facilities team, establishing clear accountability, scalable processes, and professional development pathways to support continued organizational growth.

Wage Range: $160,000-$200,000 annually

Responsibilities

Facility Development & Capital Project Leadership

  • Lead new site development, expansions, relocations, and major remodels from planning through occupancy.
  • Develop and oversee capital project budgets, timelines, scopes, and approvals.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, landlords, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements, operational needs, and regulatory standards are met.
  • Standardize facility designs, layouts, finishes, furniture, and equipment to support scalability, efficiency, and brand consistency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve development speed and build-out costs and enhance return on investments

Real Estate & Lease Portfolio Management

  • Manage the organization’s lease portfolio, including tracking critical dates, options, and escalations.
  • Lead lease negotiations, renewals, amendments, and restructures in partnership with legal, finance, and external brokers.
  • Evaluate lease terms, occupancy costs, and market conditions to support portfolio strategy.
  • Support site selection and real estate due diligence for de novo development, relocations, and acquisitions.
  • Maintain accurate lease abstracts, documentation, and reporting for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Develop long-term occupancy and real estate strategies aligned with growth, operational needs, and capital planning.

Strategic Planning

  • Support organization growth initiatives through facility planning, site feasibility analysis, and capital forecasting.
  • Contribute facilities expertise to long-range planning, de novo expansion, and acquisition-related initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing and branding teams on signage, exterior branding, and facility standards.

Facilities Operations

  • Oversee ongoing facility maintenance, repairs, and asset lifecycle planning across all locations.
  • Establish long-term replacement strategies for building systems, furnishings, and equipment.
  • Monitor service standards, response protocols, and performance metrics for facilities operations.
  • Resolve facility issues that impact team member and patient experience, or operational continuity.

Financial Oversight & Risk Management

  • Develop and manage capital expenditure plans and partner with accounting on facility occupancy budgets.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to identify, mitigate, and manage facility-related risks, including safety, environmental, business continuity and accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation, contract management, and audit readiness across all facility activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or proven experience in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in facilities development, construction, or multi-site portfolios advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success planning capital projects, capital budgets and business relationships.
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, or other regulated environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a growth-oriented organization.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, hybrid with 10-20% travel required
