Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Vision: To provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Founded in 1971, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County (BGCPBC) has an extensive history of addressing and meeting the needs of youth and families across the county. As the largest nonprofit youth development organization in Palm Beach County, BGCPBC delivers comprehensive out-of-school-time programming at 20 freestanding and school-based Club sites throughout the county, serving over 46,291 children and teens annually (9,134 Club members plus 37,157 Community Outreach). What began as a single Clubhouse has grown into a network that now comprises seven (7) freestanding Clubs and 13 school-based sites serving elementary, middle, and high Club members.
BGCPBC serves youth ages 6-18, with programming operating for 51 weeks per year. During the academic year, all Clubs sites operate every school day (Monday through Friday), with freestanding Clubs opening from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and school-based clubs opening from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During school breaks, including the entire summer break, clubs operate from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, providing consistent, structured supervision and enrichment opportunities when school is not in session. BGCPBC focuses on extremely low-income and under-resourced children and families. More specifically, across the entire organization, 69% of BGCPBC members live in single parent/non-traditional households, with 56% of their families earning less than $30,000 a year (with 42% earning less than $20,000 annually).
At an annual membership cost of just $30 per child, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County provides access to high-quality, comprehensive youth development programming designed to support academic success, healthy lifestyles, and long-term economic mobility. Club members participate in evidence-based programs and meaningful enrichment opportunities including academic support, STEM education, workforce readiness, mental wellness and life skills development, cultural arts, character and leadership development, hunger relief initiatives, and family engagement services.
The ability to provide these life-changing opportunities in a safe, supportive, and professionally staffed environment is made possible through the generosity and continued investment of our community partners and supporters.
