Senior Director, Materials Management – Supply Chain

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers high-performance, secure, and scalable compute, storage and networking solutions to support AI infrastructure and mission-critical workloads. We are seeking a Senior Director of Materials Management to lead a team of global execution professionals responsible for ensuring materials availability and manufacturing capacity partnering closely with external contract manufacturers (CMs) and ODMs to drive on-time delivery, supply continuity and operational excellence across the end-to-end materials and production execution lifecycle.  

Key responsibilities

 

Strategy and Insight

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of materials planners and supply execution teams to achieve service, cost, and inventory objectives.

  • Own materials management strategy and execution to ensure the right materials and capacity are in place to support the demand plan.

  • Collaborate with CMs and ODMs to oversee their production schedules, clear-to-build reports, supply allocations, and purchase orders.

  • Manage relationships and performance with external contract manufacturers and ODM partners, including operational reviews, KPIs, and continuous improvement plans.

  • Drive alignment between demand planning, supply planning, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing partners to ensure effective Sales & Operations planning and execution.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., OTIF, commit accuracy, lead time, material shortages, production attainment, constraints/capacity adherence) and implement corrective actions.

  • Oversee escalation management for shortages, capacity issues, and delivery risks; ensure timely communication to internal stakeholders.

  • Drive process standardization and improvements across execution workflows; implement best practices and system enhancements where applicable.

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders (Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Demand and Supply Planning, Logistics, Program Management) to support product lifecycle activities (NPI, sustaining, transitions).

 

Minimum qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including materials management, planning, and/or manufacturing operations; significant leadership experience at scale.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing external manufacturing partners (contract manufacturers and/or ODMs).

  • Deep understanding and strong knowledge of planning and execution disciplines: materials allocation, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and production execution.

  • Demonstrated experience operating in a global, matrixed environment with complex stakeholder management.

  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills, proven ability to lead through ambiguity, drive process discipline, and deliver measurable results.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills; able to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with business metrics, and forecasting. 

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in high-tech hardware, electronics, or complex multi-tier supply chains

  • Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and ramp management

  • Track record establishing KPIs and governance for insights, adoption, and enablement programs.

  • Ability to translate high-level business strategies into actionable, operational plans.

  • Capability to lead teams through organizational changes, restructuring, or technology implementations.
