AAM’s team works a hybrid work schedule, spending two days per week in our Washington, DC office.

The Association for Accessible Medicines is seeking a dynamic, strategically minded Senior Director, Legal & Assistant General Counsel to help drive the legal, policy, and advocacy priorities that shape the future of the U.S. generic and biosimilar medicines industry. Reporting to the Chief Legal & Intellectual Property Officer, this is a high‑visibility role ideal for a motivated attorney who thrives at the intersection of law, policy, and government advocacy. You will serve as a trusted legal advisor, a contract negotiator, a subject‑matter expert on pharmaceutical payment and reimbursement, and a key voice for AAM in engagements with Congressional offices, federal agencies, and other influential stakeholders. 


Reporting to the Chief Legal & Intellectual Property Officer, the Senior Director, Legal will be responsible for providing legal advice and advocacy to AAM on issues relating to generic and biosimilar medicines in the U.S. The Senior Director, Legal, will also serve as a subject matter expert on relevant generic and biosimilar issues in Congressional and Executive Branch meetings.


Candidates need to have a JD degree plus 4+ years legal practice in relevant areas at a law firm, Federal government, Congress, or in a pharmaceutical company.


AAM offers a competitive salary and benefits package including health, disability, and life insurance as well as 401k match. Salary range: $180,000 - $220,000 plus bonus.
