Title- Senior Designer- Girls/Juniors Knitwear

Location: New York, NY- Hybrid

Salary $90,000 +

Our client, a well-established wholesale brand in Knitwear is seeking a Designer/Senior Designer in their Girls/ junior division focusing on sweaters and knits for immediate hire. Must have a young aesthetic designing knitwear. Develop and create a vision for new product line assortments by collaborating with the cross-functional team. Strong CAD a technical experience is a plus. Collaborate with the team with design concepts and building product assortments with lots of room to grow..

Responsibilities:

Design and development for knitwear for both sweaters sand cut-and sew knit

• Support the placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement
• Participate in design strategies and execution for knits, and sweaters
• Involved in all product development and sales meetings projecting future fabrications
• Work with the design team and management to develop time and action calendars for programs
• Prepare trend boards for management meetings
• Shop stores for inspirations and travel
• Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance.
• Approve lab dips, new fabric developments, and the general flow of the process

Qualifications

• 5 plus years of experience in apparel design
• Tech pack knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of knitwear, and sweaters
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Problem-solving abilities in meeting deadlines.
• Microsoft Office Programs
• BA Degree
