Senior Demand Planning Analyst

Bare Home
Forest Lake, MN

About Bare Home

Bare Home is a fast-growing, privately held e-commerce bedding company headquartered in Minnesota. We've been named one of Inc. 5000's fastest-growing Minnesota businesses for four consecutive years, and we sell across our own DTC site, Amazon, and other major channels. We ship a lot of sheets. We're small enough that you'll know everyone's name and big enough that the work you do actually moves the business.

The Role

New Addition role: We need someone who can own demand and inventory planning end-to-end — not just run reports, but actually drive the decisions and process that keep product in stock, cash working efficiently, and the team aligned.

This role leads our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cadence, partners across Merchandising, Marketing, Sourcing, and Warehouse Operations, and serves as the senior voice on the planning team. You'll work alongside our Inventory & Demand Planning Analysts, setting the pace for forecast accuracy, inventory positioning, and replenishment discipline.

If you've been the person on a planning team who's wanted to fix the process but didn't have the runway — this is that runway.

What You'll Own

  • S&OP Leadership. Run the monthly S&OP cycle. Facilitate demand review, supply review, and executive S&OP meetings. Make sure decisions get made, documented, and executed.
  • Forecasting. Build and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts across all channels (DTC, Amazon FBA, wholesale). Track forecast accuracy (MAPE, bias) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Inventory Strategy. Set inventory targets by channel and SKU. Balance service level, working capital, and storage cost. Identify excess and aged inventory and drive action plans.
  • Replenishment Discipline. Partner with Sourcing on PO timing, container planning, and supplier lead-time management across our overseas supplier base (China, India, Pakistan, Turkey).
  • Amazon FBA Planning. Own FBA replenishment strategy — inbound timing, storage limits, restock limits, and IPI management.
  • New Product & Promo Planning. Partner with Merchandising and Marketing on launch forecasts and promotional demand modeling.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership. Be the person who gets Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, and Operations into the same room and out with a decision.
  • Team Partnership. Work as the senior peer to our Inventory & Demand Planning Analysts — coaching, mentoring, raising the bar on analysis and output.
  • Reporting & Insights. Build and maintain the dashboards and KPIs that tell us how we're doing and where we need to act.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in demand planning, inventory planning, or supply chain analytics — ideally in e-commerce, consumer goods, or retail.
  • Demonstrated experience running or leading S&OP — this isn't a nice-to-have for this role.
  • Strong Excel skills are table stakes. Experience with a planning system (Netstock, Streamline, SAP IBP, Oracle, Anaplan, or similar) is a plus.
  • Amazon FBA experience strongly preferred — Seller Central, restock reports, IPI, storage fees, and the quirks that come with them.
  • Comfort working with overseas suppliers and managing ocean freight lead times.
  • You can translate data into a recommendation and defend it in a room with the CEO, the CMO, and the Warehouse Manager — all of whom will have different opinions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field. APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) a plus but not required.

What Makes This a Good Fit

You want to build, not babysit. You've seen bad S&OP processes and you have opinions about what good looks like. You like owning outcomes, not just tasks. You're comfortable being the most senior planner in the room and don't need a director above you telling you what the right answer is. You care about the business, not just the forecast.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary Pay $85K–$110K with performance bonus eligibility
  • Full medical, dental, and vision through our ICHRA program
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave
  • A real seat at the table — your work will directly shape how this company grows
