We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to serve as a hands-on technical expert responsible for designing, building, and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines and data platforms. This role combines deep engineering expertise with architectural ownership, DataOps best practices, and direct implementation of high-performance ELT/ETL solutions.
MUST HAVE the following skillset:

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases
- Develop and optimize SQL-based transformations and complex data workflows in production environments
- Implement scalable batch and real-time streaming pipelines using tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Spark Streaming
- Apply advanced data modeling and dimensional design principles to ensure efficient data structures
- Perform performance tuning across data warehouses and pipelines, leveraging indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies
- Ensure pipelines are resilient, observable, and production-ready, including monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery
- Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation, and governance standards across all data solutions
- Partner with infrastructure, architecture, and governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production data issues
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews to enforce engineering best practices and standards
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Support ETL development and production operations, including occasional off-hours/weekend support
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Advanced SQL expertise and strong understanding of ELT/ETL patterns
- Experience with Oracle Exadata, Snowflake, or similar enterprise data warehouses
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, or dbt
- Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling
- Experience building and supporting large-scale production data pipelines
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
- Experience with data virtualization tools (Denodo, Composite, Dremio, Starburst)
- Strong understanding of DataOps, CI/CD, and observability practices

- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Kafka Connect, Spark Streaming, Flink, or Cribl
- Background supporting large-scale utilities or capital project environments
The hourly rate for this position is $62.56.
