Are you a master of your craft who thrives with minimal supervision? At PrideStaff, we partner with elite manufacturing and precision machining facilities in the DFW Area. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Lathe Operator who can step directly onto the shop floor, read a print, set up the machine, and make perfect parts from day one. If you are an independent, advanced machinist looking for a shop that respects your expertise, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do:In this role, you will not just be a "button pusher." You will be fully responsible for your machine, your setups, and your final product.
Independent Setup: Perform complete, complex machine setups on CNC Lathes (including chucks, collets, tooling, and workholding) without assistance.
Blueprint Translation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to determine machining sequences.
Program Editing: Call up programs, edit G-code and M-code at the controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or Mazatrol), and adjust offsets to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
Precision Machining: Machine parts to extremely tight tolerances across a variety of materials (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, or exotic alloys).
Quality Ownership: Conduct your own first-article and in-process inspections using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, comparators).
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve tooling wear, chatter, or machine alarms independently to keep production running smoothly.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Lathes in a precision manufacturing environment. (This is not an entry-level or training role).
Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and insert geometry.
Math & Print Skills: Advanced industrial math skills and fluency in reading complex blueprints and GD&T.
Autonomy: A proven track record of working independently, managing your own time, and taking an assignment from raw material to finished part with zero hand-holding.
Top-Tier Pay: We know what your skills are worth, and we advocate for you to get competitive pay.
Weekly Pay: Get paid every Friday!
Health Benefits: Access to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Respect & Autonomy: Step into a role where your expertise is trusted and micromanagement is left at the door.
