Senior Civil Health Care Fraud Investigator

DiverseGOV is currently reviewing experienced Senior Civil Health Care Fraud Investigators for a federal government contract opportunity with the Department of Justice (DOJ). If hired, you will work as an employee of Diverse Staffing Services, Inc. dba DiverseGOV assigned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO), Middle District of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, PA. This role focuses on investigating and supporting civil healthcare fraud matters involving federal healthcare benefit programs and assisting AUSAs in developing cases for litigation.

What You’ll Do

• Support the planning and conduct of healthcare fraud investigations in coordination with AUSAs and federal agents
• Assist in determining whether violations of federal statutes occurred (e.g., False Claims Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Act)
• Conduct and document investigative activities (interviews, subpoenas/depositions support, surveillance coordination)
• Examine and organize evidence including documents, emails, financials, billing statements, and electronic data
• Prepare reports and provide regular case updates to AUSAs; support trial preparation as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, accounting, finance, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in law enforcement/criminal justice and healthcare fraud investigation (combined)
• Experience testifying in court matters
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation

Preferred

• CPA certification
• Experience working with a federal or state law enforcement entity
