Medicinal Chemist

Duration: 6-month contract - potential extension

Location: Onsite in Cambridge, MA

Our client, a global biopharmaceutical company specializing in therapies for serious neurological, immunological, and rare diseases, is seeking a talented and motivated Medicinal Chemist to join our Medicinal Chemistry group. As a Medicinal Chemist, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and applying synthetic methodologies to address challenging chemistry issues within our internal drug discovery programs.

Responsibilities:

• Design of Synthesis: Design and enable robust synthetic routes for the synthesis of targets to be tested against a neurodegenerative disease.
• Proactively propose a mix of advanced and/or established organic chemistry techniques and innovative approaches to address synthetic challenges, playing a pivotal role in our drug development pipeline.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. (1-3 years of experience) or M.Sc (5+ years of experience) with strong chemistry background

• Excellent knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry. Proficient in techniques related to synthesis, purification, and characterization of organic compounds.

• Ability to independently design, plan, execute, and interpret experiments.

• Demonstrated track record of publications, and/or scientific presentations.
