About the Role
We are hiring for our client seeking a Senior Business Process Eengineer to support a critical application used for managing and distributing federal grant programs. This role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to improve processes, enhance system functionality, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Improvement
- Review and document current business processes and workflows
- Identify optimization opportunities and recommend improvements
- Analyze policy changes and suggest system updates
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate meetings with business, technical, and external teams
- Act as a point of contact for application-related issues
- Communicate updates, resolutions, and status effectively
Operational & Technical Coordination
- Manage and prioritize support requests and enhancement tickets
- Collaborate with technical teams for issue resolution
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements
Leadership & Team Coordination
- Lead and mentor business analysts
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions
- Ensure alignment across teams and project goals
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Maintain detailed documentation on SharePoint
- Ensure all process updates are properly recorded
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in business process engineering
- 2+ years of experience with grant management systems or government programs
- Strong understanding of SDLC
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Leadership experience in cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and MS Office
Additional Experience Required
- Experience with complex web applications (5+ years)
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements (5+ years)
- Experience working across multiple teams (5+ years)
- Experience leading meetings and presentations (5+ years)
- Experience as a liaison between business and technical teams (3+ years)
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role (2 days onsite – Tuesday & Wednesday preferred)
- No remote-only option
- Local candidates preferred; relocation required if non-local

- Must be based in the U.S. (any location, preference for Michigan/EST/CST)
