About the Role

We are hiring for our client seeking a Senior Business Process Eengineer to support a critical application used for managing and distributing federal grant programs. This role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to improve processes, enhance system functionality, and drive operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Process Analysis & Improvement

  • Review and document current business processes and workflows
  • Identify optimization opportunities and recommend improvements
  • Analyze policy changes and suggest system updates

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate meetings with business, technical, and external teams
  • Act as a point of contact for application-related issues
  • Communicate updates, resolutions, and status effectively

Operational & Technical Coordination

  • Manage and prioritize support requests and enhancement tickets
  • Collaborate with technical teams for issue resolution
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements

Leadership & Team Coordination

  • Lead and mentor business analysts
  • Conduct requirement-gathering sessions
  • Ensure alignment across teams and project goals

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain detailed documentation on SharePoint
  • Ensure all process updates are properly recorded


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business process engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with grant management systems or government programs
  • Strong understanding of SDLC
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership experience in cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and MS Office


Additional Experience Required

  • Experience with complex web applications (5+ years)
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements (5+ years)
  • Experience working across multiple teams (5+ years)
  • Experience leading meetings and presentations (5+ years)
  • Experience as a liaison between business and technical teams (3+ years)


Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid role (2 days onsite – Tuesday & Wednesday preferred)
  • No remote-only option
  • Local candidates preferred; relocation required if non-local


Additional Requirements

  • Must be based in the U.S. (any location, preference for Michigan/EST/CST)
  • No OPT candidates
  • No Green Card candidates on C2C
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience required


Contract Details

  • Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
  • Hours: 40 hours/week


Compensation

  • W2: $65/hr
  • C2C: $80/hr
