Position Summary:
The Billing Lead will have an extensive knowledge of company billing practices, billing system, and provide company-wide internal billing support.
Essential Functions:
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
· Responsible for company-wide billings including warranty and rentals. Ensures the order to invoice process is accurately reflected in the system, notes are properly posted to the order before submitting to AR, and billing completed accordingly to company targets.
· Provides leadership and guidance to team members
· Provides direction on non-standard customer invoicing.
· Maintains company-wide Open Order Report and acts as liaison between Service Managers/Coordinators to determine why orders are open and work with location to get orders closed; minimize open orders over 3 months.
· Process complex customer credits/adjustments/returns accurately.
· Partners with Service Managers to research and resolve client billing problems or issues.
· Supports and follows all Company policies and procedures in daily work activities.
· Has excellent attendance, is punctual and possess a positive attitude.
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:

· Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent business experience is required.
· A minimum of five (5) years of experience in invoicing/billing of technical products, preferably in a service industry.
· Demonstrate an ability to lead others.
· Prior use and understanding of ERP systems.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office products such Excel.
· Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
· Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.
· Problem-solving skills that include reasoning ability, mathematical ability and logical thinking skills.
· Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company.
Physical Demands:
· The employee must seldom lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
· Must wear and use proper PPE at all times when in the shop/warehouse area.
