Internal Audit is a provider of independent, objective assurance services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

The Consumer Lending Audit Team (CLAT) is part of the third line of defense and provides audit coverage for the Consumer Lending lines of business.  Throughout audit our vision is to provide perspective, influence, and challenge regarding the company's governance, risk management, and internal controls.  CLAT’s Data Innovation and Analytics (DI&A) Team supports CLAT’s audit execution and issue validation.  DI&A builds analytics solutions to improve audit coverage and efficiency using SAS and SQL.

Specific Duties:
Senior Auditors participate in basic audit projects as directed. They are responsible for:

• Support audit execution and issue validation by creating SAS/SQL scripts to automate manual control testing.
• Support DI&A to build and manage analytics solutions using various analytics tool (e.g., SAS, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI).
• Performing audit testing of moderately complex components of assigned audits within multiple segments of the Audit Plan.
• Plans and executes independent audit reviews and ensure that they are timely and accurate.
• Document work papers according to the standards of the Audit policy and guidance.
• Identifies and assesses key risks and controls and develops effective test plans for engagements as assigned with limited guidance.
• Develops business partnerships within Audit and with teams across WF through professional communication and clear audit deliverables.
• May perform auditor-in-charge responsibilities as assigned.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job. The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

• 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following audit or risk functions: covering risk identification, mitigation and management (includes audit, legal, operational risk, compliance risk, credit risk, market risk, technology risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for risk.) demonstrated through work or military experience

• Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

• A BS/BA degree or higher
• Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm
• Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools

• Certification in one or more of the following:  CPA, CIA, CAMS, CRCM, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation. 
• Working knowledge in data extraction, transformation and loading using SAS or SSIS.
• Experience designing and creating automated reports leveraging SSRS, Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
• Knowledge and experience with consumer lending processes, risks and controls; in particular home, auto and credit card lending
• Issue validation and remediation experience
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation
• Retail or commercial line of business knowledge and experience, such as performance management, ethics line, compliance, complaints, and consent order work
• Model and model risk understanding and experience
• Knowledge and experience with capital markets, market risk or counterparty credit risk

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
