Senior Audit Specialist (Contract)
📍 Central Colorado Springs | 🕒 Full-Time (40 hrs./week) | 💼 6-Month Contract

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan and execute financial, compliance, and operational audits
- Evaluate internal controls, risk exposure, and process efficiency
- Conduct interviews, analyze data, and document audit findings
- Develop and present clear, actionable reports and recommendations
- Support investigations, external audits, and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen organizational performance
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of audit or related professional experience
- Strong understanding of internal audit methodologies and risk-based approaches
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience in public sector or similarly regulated environments
- Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or PMP
- Exposure to IT audits or project-based audit work
