Senior Auditor

Position Summary

A respected public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute audit and assurance engagements with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating client engagements.
  • Perform audit procedures and testing in accordance with professional standards.
  • Prepare and review workpapers, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to identify and resolve accounting and audit issues.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members on engagement teams.
  • Evaluate client internal controls through walkthroughs and testing procedures.
  • Develop recommendations to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary information and ensure timely completion of engagements.
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting engagement budgets and deadlines.
  • Participate in special projects and additional assignments as needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Master's degree in Accounting preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years of public accounting experience with exposure to audit and assurance engagements.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and audit documentation.
  • Experience working directly with clients and engagement teams preferred.

Certifications

  • CPA license preferred.
  • CPA candidate actively pursuing certification encouraged to apply.
