The Role
This is a senior individual contributor position within the Quantitative Analytics team, sitting at the heart of commercial and revenue strategy.
You’ll play a key role in developing and deploying quantitative models that directly influence trading decisions, asset optimization, and commercial structuring. Alongside hands-on technical work, you’ll help mentor junior team members and shape how the team approaches complex analytical problems.
It’s a strong fit for someone who enjoys building models end-to-end but is also ready to step into a more influential, leadership-oriented position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and own models that drive trading strategy and portfolio optimization across solar and battery storage assets
- Develop pricing and risk tools for structured energy products and offtake agreements
- Analyze market dynamics (congestion, basis, curtailment, intermittency) to uncover commercial opportunities
- Integrate data from across power markets, including weather, generation, and transmission
- Support battery storage optimization, including forecasting and day-ahead dispatch strategies
- Review and structure commercial agreements, identifying risks and opportunities
- Apply machine learning and optimization techniques to improve forecasting and performance
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performance, collaborative culture
- Partner closely with commercial, development, finance, and asset management teams
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8 years’ experience in power markets, trading, or quantitative analytics within energy
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience working in collaborative codebases
- Solid understanding of power market dynamics and pricing
- Experience with structured products, derivatives, or energy contracts
- Exposure to machine learning or optimization in a commercial setting
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights
- A proactive mindset with the ability to operate independently
- Interest in mentoring and helping develop junior talent
- Background in renewable energy (solar, storage) is a strong plus

Compensation
Competitive base salary ($150,000 – $170,000) plus bonus and comprehensive benefits
