PPRE U.S. is the U.S. subsidiary of PIMCO Prime Real Estate, the real estate investment and asset manager serving the global Allianz Group companies. PPRE has assets under management of approximately $90.0 billion and has approximately 450 employees around the global with subsidiaries in Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, the U.S., and the Asia/Pacific Region.

PPRE U.S. makes equity and debt investments in the top 50 metropolitan areas in the U.S. and manages an existing portfolio of direct equity holdings, joint ventures, fund investments and commercial mortgage loans aggregating approximately $24.0 billion. Annual debt investments include approximately 40-50 commercial mortgage loans totaling $2.5 billion to $3.0 billion.


We are seeking a Senior Associate to join the CRE Loan Asset Management Team focusing on Investor Reporting and Data Management.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Debt Portfolio Management, the Data & Reporting Associate is a key role within the platform to ensure that data is managed to the highest standard of quality, and within required timeframes for both regular/recurring activities and tasks as well as for ad hoc requests.

The role requires coordination across multiple teams including stakeholders outside of the team, therefore attention to detail, thoughtful comprehensive analysis, a high level of professionalism and a dedication to the “4 Eyes” Principle are critical attributes. The ability to work independently and be resourceful and anticipate need is equally critical. An interest in problem solving and evolving and refining/improving processes and procedures is also important for this role, as is fully embracing collaboration and teamwork.


Tasks include:

  • Manage and analyze commercial real estate loan asset data to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Maintain quantitative models and tools for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Responsible for managing, facilitating, coordinating and preparing regular and ad-hoc reports for both internal needs and investors, managing timely distribution, as well.
  • Through a commitment to checks and balances, as well as ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all reporting and analysis activities at all times.
  • Collaborate with external service providers, as required, to establish, enforce and continuously optimize data processes from database management through all channels including investor reporting.
  • Proactively facilitate continuous process automation and efficiency improvements in data workflows and reporting pipelines.
  • Data explanations and reconciliation with investors.
  • Validate loan onboardings at loan closing and payoff calculations.
  • Validate loan payoff calculations, ensuring reporting accuracy.
  • Evaluate AI use cases and integrate AI solutions.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on data analytics or finance, with a specialization related to data.
  • 4-6 years of experience of analytics and reporting in commercial real estate / financial services.
  • Proven ability to structure and maintain large data sets, develop analytics dashboards, and streamline data workflows that enhance portfolio management processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications with specific emphasis on Excel. MS Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Python are a plus.
