Salary Range: $62,000 - $80,000 - $99,000

Corus International is seeking a Senior Associate, Enterprise Application Developer, to join the Finance & Administration team. The position can be based at the Headquarters in Washington, DC or Baltimore, Maryland. This is a hybrid remote position working two days each week in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Position Summary:

The Senior Associate, Enterprise Application Developer, supports the development, integration, and maintenance of internal business applications and automated workflows that improve efficiency across the organization. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the developer contributes to building secure, reliable solutions using modern tools and best practices, while documenting work and assisting with ongoing application support.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of and maintain enterprise applications, scripts, and automated workflows to reduce manual effort and errors.
  • Build and support secure system integrations using APIs, Microsoft Graph, and REST services across platforms such as M365, SharePoint, Azure AD, Salesforce, SQL, and cloud storage.
  • Design and enhance internal tools and features using Power Apps, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and PowerShell, following established patterns and code standards.
  • Automate workflows using Power Automate and Office Scripts, including input/output design, exception handling, and running logging for traceability.
  • Manage source control and participate in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure), supporting builds, deployments, and configuration of environment variables and secrets.
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests; document test results and identified defects.
  • Provide routine application support by triaging tickets, resolving common incidents and requests, and escalating issues according to playbooks.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design notes, runbooks, data mappings, API references, and knowledge articles.
  • Apply secure by design principles by implementing least privilege access, proper secrets handling, data protection, and adherence to security and change management standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and maintain accurate backlogs and tasks.

Supervisory:

  • This position does not have direct reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience, including supporting software development and automation.
  • Experience developing solutions on the Microsoft 365 platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Office Scripts) and managing content in SharePoint Online.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and version control for internal applications.
  • Proficiency in modern scripting and programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) for developing custom applications and automation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and Azure AD (identity and access management). Ability to use Azure Graph API or related APIs to integrate systems (e.g., connecting Azure AD, Salesforce, databases) and enable seamless data flow across platforms.
  • Understanding of secure development practices, including use of authentication protocols like SAML, OAuth2, and Microsoft identity libraries (MSAL). Ensures solutions comply with organizational IT policies and implements proper access controls and data protection measures.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and integrate AI enabled capabilities into enterprise solutions, leveraging generative AI and intelligent automation to enhance business processes while ensuring security, governance, and responsible use.
  • Familiarity with tools including GitHub Actions, Azure Static Web Apps, or similar frameworks to automate build and deployment processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of translating user needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and documenting processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Must demonstrate calm judgment during incidents and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends in an on-call support capacity as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce experience (flows, API integration), basic SQL, data transformation (JSON/CSV), Postman/Insomnia, basic testing tools preferred.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit and mission-driven environment preferred.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment

  • Corus has a hybrid work policy, allowing work to be done remotely; two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office is required. The employee must be available to work outside normal office hours or weekends as required.
  • This position must be able to travel as required for standard domestic business purposes.
  • If applicable, must have authorization to work in the country of assignment.
