Why this job – SENIOR ASSOCIATE, CLIENT ACCOUNTING:

Join this rapidly growing independent family office as a Senior Associate to act as a crucial pillar for client financial management. This is not a traditional, rigid corporate accounting role; it is a dynamic position designed for an intrinsically motivated professional who possesses both high technical competency and exceptional relational skills.

Working with a select book of 5 to 7 high-net-worth clients, you will bridge the gap between day-to-day transactional accounting and high-level analytical reporting. If you want to escape the public accounting grind, own your outcomes, and build meaningful relationships within a collaborative, remote team, this is the perfect career move.

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Deliver Bespoke Financial Support: Manage the full-cycle day-to-day accounting, general ledger maintenance, and complex transaction recording across multiple family entities and trusts.
  • Own the Reconciliations: Prepare and maintain comprehensive monthly reconciliations for various bank accounts, credit cards, and complex brokerage accounts.
  • Manage Capital Workflows: Confidently handle accounts payable workflows and track private equity and real estate capital calls and distributions.
  • Aggregate Investment Data: Utilize specialized tools to aggregate investment data and help craft sophisticated financial reporting packages for client deliverables.
  • Provide Analytical Insights: Go beyond the numbers to analyze, report, and explain exactly what is happening across client portfolios, serving as a trusted resource for firm leadership and client families.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in client accounting services, family office environments, or public accounting (handling multiple clients simultaneously).
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounts, multi-entity structures, trusts, and complex balance sheets.
  • High technical proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; experience with Bill.com is highly preferred, and exposure to Addepar is a major plus.
  • High integrity and absolute discretion when handling highly sensitive and confidential client data.
  • A relational, service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to build trust with both teammates and client families.
  • Education & Credentials: A CPA is a nice-to-have, but it is not required. We hire for values, intellect, and personality above all else.

Where and How Much:

  • Target Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 base salary + performance-based bonus.
  • Schedule: 100% Remote
  • Benefits: Medical insurance, 401(k) with 5% match, and Unlimited PTO.
