Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant (Temporary) to provide coverage during a leave of absence. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure continuity in financial reporting, reconciliations, and close processes.


This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can quickly step in, work independently, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Experience in public accounting and strong technical accounting skills are highly preferred.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Prepare and post journal entries across multiple entities and loan portfolios

· Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations

· Support month-end and quarter-end close processes

· Assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements

· Analyze and reconcile loan-level transactions, including fees and interest income

· Support audit requests and documentation as needed

· Partner with internal teams to validate financial data

· Assist with ad hoc reporting and accounting projects


Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· 3–6 years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred)

· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

· Experience with reconciliations and large data sets

· Advanced Excel skills

· Ability to quickly learn systems and processes

· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines independently


Preferred, but not required:

· Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems

· CPA or CPA-track

· Background in real estate, lending, or investment accounting


Duration:


5-6 months, opportunity to extend per business needs


Work Environment:


This is a hybrid position which requires in-office reporting to Anchor’s Thousand Oaks office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Remote work is optional Monday and Friday.


Compensation:


The base pay range for this position is $43-$48 per hour
