Who You Are

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing key accounting functions, including balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition and reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and the month-end close process. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting while providing leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to streamline processes for efficiency.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

  • Perform and lead monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain accurate cash flow reporting and forecasting

Bank Reconciliations

  • Perform and lead monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain accurate cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • 13 Week Cash Flow Forecasting

Fixed Assets & Prepaid Expenses

  • Maintain the enterprise ASC 842 Lease Schedule
  • Maintain the enterprise Fixed Assets Schedule
  • Ensure proper accounting or additions and disposals
  • Maintain the enterprise prepaid expense schedule

Month-End Close

  • Manage and execute the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries and adjustments are completed in a timely manner
  • Reconcile inventory used in service to the P&L to ensure cost & revenue are matched
  • Revenue reconciled monthly in accordance with ASC 606
  • Deferred revenue & corresponding balance sheet reconciliation
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data for closing activities

Other

      • Ad-Hoc reporting as needed by management
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
      • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
      • Establish, maintain, and distribute SOPs for Accounting processes
      • Train and educating any junior staff as needed

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including AP, AR, and month-end close
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
