Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close activities, account analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with strong technical accounting knowledge, a proactive mindset, and experience managing complex reconciliations and financial reporting responsibilities.
As a Senior Accountant, you will partner closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic business initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for assigned entities and business units.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Manage cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset, debt, and equity-related accounting processes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Conduct financial statement variance analyses and provide meaningful insights to management.
- Maintain detailed supporting documentation and ensure all accounting records are audit-ready.
- Assist with external audits, tax compliance support, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Review capitalization policies and oversee depreciation and amortization schedules.
- Support complex accounting transactions, including consolidations, intercompany activity, and equity accounting where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis functions.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
