Role Tasks and Responsibilities
• Enter and process vendor invoices in Sage Intacct accounting software as they are received both physically and electronically
• Ensure invoice coding and allocation is correct as per our general ledger
• Process and mail vendor checks for weekly A/P run
• Vendor setup and maintenance
• Provide timely/accurate reports from the Sage accounting software as requested
• Processing donation and ticketing receipts via Tessitura subledger, and enter into Sage A/R ledger
• Issue monthly statements to delinquent customers
• Managing Company Credit Cards – transaction management, maintaining Sage/bill.com integration, monitoring user access, budget maintenance, ensuring items and coded and receipted in a timely manner, syncing transactions to accounting software.
• Provide timely/accurate reports from the Sage accounting software for the development department or other operational purposes
• Work with Controller on financial forecasting, including cash flow projection
• Create journal entries to properly account for payroll, benefits, unemployment, postage, and other expenses.
• Review and approve donation and ticketing receipts via Tessitura subledger
• Participate in month-end closing process, including account analysis/reconciliation
• Record all monthly investment activity, maintain investment schedule
• Maintaining and tracking balances of restricted funds
• Participate in the annual budgeting process
• Assistance with annual independent audit, 990, and other compliance activities
• Other accounting tasks, as requested
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting
• At least three years of non-profit accounting experience
• Knowledge of general financial accounting, including adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with Sage accounting software, Paylocity payroll software, preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
• Comfort with high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
• Ability to model and practice the values of artistic excellence, joyful collaboration, and resolute respect – especially when faced with challenges – through constructive, clear, solution-focused communication with fellow staff, supervisors, guest artists, and any other individual involved in the work at hand

Physical Requirements
• May need to occasionally move small boxes of records weighing up to 20 pounds throughout office or within 50 feet as part of the record retention and storage process.
