Salary: Up to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with non-profit regulations, and supporting leadership with accurate financial data and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
- Oversee general ledger accuracy and financial statement preparation
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support grant accounting and compliance reporting
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a non-profit organization
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles
- Experience with financial reporting and audit support
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
