Job Duties:

  • The Senior Accountant/Fiscal Analyst maintains full compliance with GASB and federal/state financial reporting requirements. Performs a wide range of accounting, analysis, and reconciliation work. Serves as a primary point of contact for researching and resolving client ePAY payment issues, and Department's County and SSA trust fund accounting system and financial reporting system (Acumatica). Performs the agency's daily and monthly SNAP EBT reconciliations and reports and prepares related monthly journal entries to record net Issuance activity. Receives, audits, and tracks the processing of quarterly billings from 12 councils of government across the state and county request for payments, serving as the financial services point of contact for those entities. Responsible for uploading and parking journal entries in SCEIS.

  • Serves as primary staff member responsible that works with agency clients and county staff to resolve payment issues with the Department's electronic payment subsystem (ePay) by handling client inquiries, updating banking demographics, requesting replacement debit cards, processing or requesting check payments and uploading system updates to bank. Provides customer support services to the agency's ePay Debit Card and direct deposit payees by posting updates, working ePay System payee errors, monitoring bank account returns, generating settlement payments as warranted and working with banking contractor and DSS IT on issues and system updates.

  • Serves as primary staff member responsible for uploading and parking journal entries in SCEIS for management review and approval. Provides guidance to other staff members in relation to complex journal entries as needed.

  • Maintains daily and monthly worksheet tracking SNAP benefit issuances and expungements and reconciles the associated data between multiple sources. Prepares related monthly journal entries to record net Issuance activity.

  • Receives, audits, and tracks the processing of quarterly billings from 12 councils of government across the state, serving as the financial services point of contact for those entities. Assures that all properly supported billings are processed, approved and paid on time, and that all and only reasonable and necessary expenses, as defined by the governing Memorandum of Understanding and federal rules and regulations, are reimbursed.

  • Receives, audits and tracks the processing of quarterly County request for payment. Assures that all properly supported requests are processed, approved, and paid on time, and that all and only reasonable and necessary expenses, as defined by the governing Memorandum of the County Federal Financial Participation Policies and Procedures, are reimbursed.

  • Responsible for daily administration and troubleshooting of the Department's county and trust fund accounting system (Acumatica). Maintains chart of accounts and vendor master data. Administers user access, security roles, and accounting period cut off. Works with users of Acumatica to resolve transactional, procedural issues; utilizes the system's query and reporting drivers to provide annual and ad hoc financial reports for GAAP Reporting and Transparency Proviso Reporting mandates.

  • Processes SSI/SSA trust fund checks, record SSI/SSA trust fund deposits in Acumatica and initiate transfers as needed. Prepares transmittal letters to accompany checks, obtain approval and signature from the Controller and mail checks out to recipients.

  • Communicates with counties, ensures consistency with Acumatica procedures, and audits Acumatica transaction descriptions for analysis and reporting purposes.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field and two (2) years of professional experience in a related area such as accounting business administration, finance, auditing or budgeting.
