Director | Solutions Team

Who You Are

You are a sharp, detail-oriented financial professional who thrives on precision and delivers results with quiet authority. You do not need the spotlight to make an impact; you need the right problem and the space to solve it. You are energized by complex, high-stakes work and you hold yourself to a standard that most people consider exceptional. You are methodical without being rigid, analytical without losing sight of outcomes, and steady enough to bring calm to chaotic situations. If you have ever described yourself as someone who takes pride in getting it right, this role was built for you.

What You Will Do
  • Analyze financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for distressed clients.
  • Develop and refine financial models covering valuation, discounted cash flow, budgeting, projections, and trend analysis.
  • Prepare forensic accounting schedules and detailed exhibits used in court proceedings and distributed to attorneys, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Review bank statements and supporting documents to prepare accurate cash flow analyses.
  • Verify vendor invoices, prepare deposits, and process weekly check runs with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Navigate accounting platforms (QuickBooks and similar tools) to manage and maintain financial records across multiple client engagements.
  • Identify operational deficiencies within distressed businesses and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Manage multiple confidential databases and project deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Communicate professionally in both collaborative and contentious settings with attorneys, lenders, clients, and court-appointed professionals.
  • Contribute operational oversight to distressed businesses across a range of industries.

What You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting platforms.
  • Strong analytical instincts paired with disciplined, structured problem-solving.
  • Strongly preferred: Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a Controller-level role.
  • Preferred: Background in financial analysis, tax, or credit analysis.

Why This Role Stands Out
  • Work with a team that operates at a national scale across 38 states, managing more than $2.5 billion in assets, with a reputation built on precision and trust.
  • Meaningful, intellectually demanding work across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, and more.
  • A culture that rewards autonomy, quality, and ownership without requiring you to compete for attention.
  • Work-life harmony with scheduling flexibility and occasional remote work availability.
  • Comprehensive benefits including health coverage with multiple plan options, 401(k) with company match, PTO accrual, and paid holidays.
  • Paid volunteer time and charitable contribution matching.
  • Mentorship, continued education, and real investment in your professional growth.
  • Competitive salary plus bonus opportunity.
