Senior Accountant

Tarvos Talent is partnering with a stable, well‑respected organization to add a Senior Accountant to their team in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role (4 days remote / 1 day in office) offering strong work‑life balance, high visibility, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements within a collaborative accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Controller with accounting operations and financial reporting
• Assist with month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review bank reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance close accuracy and efficiency
• Assist with annual audit preparation and audit schedules
• Support accounting system implementations and workflow enhancements
• Help document accounting procedures and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Lease Accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close processes
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and audits
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Strong written, verbal, and cross‑functional communication skills
