LIBRA has spent 38 years building one of the most trusted closeout wholesale businesses in the country. We buy excess and obsolete inventory from major consumer brands — Rubbermaid, Calphalon, Nordicware, Anchor Hocking, Contigo, Chicago Cutlery, Instant Pot, 3M, and others — and sell it into the retailers that drive in-store excitement on price: HomeGoods, Ross, Ollie's, Dollar Tree, Dollarama, and hundreds of independent retailers across the U.S. and beyond. 


The model works because of relationships on both sides. Manufacturers trust us to move inventory quietly, quickly, and without disrupting their core retail channels. Retailers trust us to deliver brand-name product at 35-85% off wholesale, accurately and on time. We operate out of a 250,000 square foot warehouse in Minneapolis and show up at every trade show that matters. 


We're hiring for a senior seller to help us grow. 


The Role 


This is a relationship-driven role operating in a strategic and executional capacity within the company. You're working with national and independent retailers to move LIBRA's fast-turning inventory — sometimes inside of a week, sometimes inside of a day. The product changes constantly. The account managers who win are the ones who pick up the phone first when something new hits the floor. 


What You’ll Own 


  • A book of retail accounts — growing existing relationships and opening new ones across discount retail, off-price, dollar channels, and independents 
  • Trade show presence at the events where this industry actually does business 
  • Negotiation across pricing, volume, terms, and timing 
  • A pipeline of opportunities that doesn't dry up between trade shows 


Who You Are 


You've spent meaningful time in consumer products, wholesale, off-price, or a related distribution channel —enough to know how buyers think and what challenges need to be overcome. 

You don't need a script to start a conversation. When a retailer's buyer describes what they're trying to fill, you can map it to product you've seen in the warehouse this week. 


You're comfortable with a fast clock. Closeout deals don't wait.  


Experience We’d Love 


  • 7+ years in B2B sales, with meaningful time selling consumer products into retail  
  • Experience in closeout, off-price, discount retail, or wholesale distribution  
  • A track record of building a book from scratch or meaningfully growing an existing one  
  • Existing relationships with buyers at discount retail, dollar channels, or independent retail (a real plus, not a requirement)  
  • Trade show experience and the network that comes with it 


Compensation 


Base plus uncapped bonus commission. Strong and seasoned performers typically exceed $100K all-in. Benefits include medical, dental, life, HSA, 401(k), profit sharing, PTO, and an employee discount on LIBRA inventory.
