MajorDuties

This position is located at the 162nd Wing in Tucson, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the installation/wing security specialist for force protection and anti-terrorism (FP/AT) and related physical and operations security and issues, managing assigned program areas, and implementing force protection policy, projects and studies. Advises the Wing Commander ASUS Commander on matters of anti-terrorism, oversee implementation of AF and MAJCOM policy, exercises staff program management over all anti-terrorism activities, and serves as liaison with the surrounding communities, and state officials. Due to the unique mission of the cNAF, this PD cannot be used in any other organization.

Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties to include physical, personal, and operational security to identify and resolve conflicting and complex policy and program objectives, and procedures within the security functional area. 2. Knowledge in the specialized field of force protection and anti-terrorism, and physical and operations security. 3. Ability to articulate effectively and provide advice and recommendations to supervisors and other security experts or groups at higher and lower echelons. 4. Possess a thorough knowledge of security forces programs and governing policies, directives, instructions, and procedures. 5. Comprehensive knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies, accomplish projects,and effectively results for the effective management and completion of programs. 6. Skill in oral and written communication methods and techniques at various levels and venues.
