What you'll do...
- Supervise security operations for Ford Energy, including staffing requirements, access control, CCTV monitoring, investigations, and emergency support.
- Supervise a team of direct and matrix reports.
- Oversee day-to-day security operations, including contract security personnel. Enforce the Service Level Agreement with the provider, including identifying and escalating performance issues.
- Enforce the security manual, bulletins, and protocols to ensure compliance.
- Assist with risk assessments of sites to determine if the operational model is adequate for site integrity.
- Respond to security incidents, including medical, behavioral, trespassing, accidents, suspicious activity, thefts, etc. Escalate appropriately to the Site Security Manager and/or Regional Security Manager.
- Assist with special projects and security initiatives, including GAO audits, daily plant walks, etc.
- Develop monthly security awareness communications to be provided to employees.
- Identify and escalate physical security gaps through proactive security initiatives.
- May perform the role of Incident Commander for emergencies.
- Enhance emergency response capabilities by utilizing incident response tools and through the deployment of emergency response equipment for the company or local municipalities.
- Collaborate with People Matters, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Safety representatives as necessary to discuss and resolve workplace issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal skill teams to ensure unified alignment with all security-related matters.
- Collaborate with appropriate internal Ford skill teams and external work partners to plan for and provide security coverage for special events.
- Track and compile team metrics; using data to drive decision-making and security strategy.
- Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Assist in security for VIP visits.
- Protect company classified information with confidentiality.
