Atlantic Health System is seeking a Security Officer for the Security Department at Morristown Medical Center – Days and Shift Hours may vary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate must be able to work, first, second and third shifts, weekends and Holidays and over time as required. Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours in duration.
Must be available for call back as required.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for at least 4 hours at a time.
The candidate must be able to attend mandatory training sessions.
Proficiency with computers is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with the department's computer system are essential.
The selected candidate must be able to engage with patients, visitors, and staff.
This position includes safety tours of the facility and grounds, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and gathering information, completing electronic reports, de-escalating violent or threatening individuals.
The candidate will be exposed to Bio-Hazards such as Blood, Vomit, Saliva, and Urine.
The candidate will be required to pass an N95 Fit Test. Be able to wear an N95 or surgical mask for short and extended periods of time.
The candidates will be oriented on one or more shifts during their initial orientation.
Candidates will be required to pass an AHS approved physical control tactics course.
The applicant must be available for re-call
The applicant must be able to flex their schedule to accommodate organizational staffing needs.
