Your Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

As an Information Security Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will….

  • Support the design and building of Deere's privileged access management systems, solutions, and infrastructure by using engineering principles with the aim of securing Deere's systems and data, as well as continuously improve the security and quality of our PAM solution.
  • Engage with customers in order to create innovative solutions
  • Partner across GSEC and IT to educate and create secure solutions that meet the needs of the customer
  • Support the design and implementation of disaster recovery and contingency plans to protect company data.
  • Teach, coach, mentor, and pair/mob with teams to continue improving the availability and resiliency of IAM systems.

What Skills You Need
  • 3+ years of experience with system administration, supporting multiple platforms (Windows, Linux) and applications
  • 3+ years of experience understanding of applications development environment, database, data management, networking and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • Foundational technical aptitude related to Cloud computing – the risks and benefits of using a vendor’s remote servers to store, manage and process an organization’s data
  • Experience with supporting or integrating external authentication providers
  • Demonstrated skills in Dev/Sec/Ops principals, tools and practices
  • Working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements
  • Capable of collaborating with other team members to ensure that features meet business needs
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, with a track record of successfully working with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve security-related issues.
  • CISSP certification
  • Experience automating security testing tools
  • Experience working with cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure etc.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to changing technology environment
Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information systems or technology
  • The ideal candidate will also have industry certification(s), such as SSCP, CCSP, CISSP, SANS certifications, etc.
