Security Engineer

Position: Cyber Incident Response Engineer

Location: Alhambra, CA (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $50-65/hr (W2)

Duration: 12 months

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a skilled Security Engineer to secure complex technology environments and help bridge legacy systems with modern security practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct security audits, vulnerability testing, and code reviews
• Develop solutions to mitigate security risks
• Research emerging threats and advise teams on secure system design
• Collaborate across development and operations teams to ensure system privacy and protection

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 10+ years in security engineering
• Tech & Tools: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Palo Alto Firewall, Zscaler, SIEM, KQL, MCP, LLM tools (Codex, Claude, or similar)
• Skills: Security architecture, networking, encryption, incident response, risk management, compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
• Systems: Windows, Unix, Mac; SQL, Azure, Oracle

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s in IT/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• CISSP & ITIL Foundation
