PrideStaff, a national workforce solutions firm, is currently seeking a Facility Security Associate for a prominent Dayton institution. This isn’t a typical "guard shack" job—you will be an active, visible presence ensuring the safety of staff, patrons, and high-value assets.

Compensation, Shift, & Location Details

• Pay Rate: $17.81/hr
• Weekly Schedule: Wed/Fri/Sat: 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Thurs: 10:30 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Sun: 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Location: Dayton, OH 45405
• Experience: 1+ years in security, preferably in a cultural institution

As a Facility Security Associate, you are the first line of defense in maintaining a secure and orderly environment. Your core responsibilities include:

• Asset Protection: Actively monitor designated facilities to protect facility assets and ensure patrons are following facility safety protocols.
• Active Patrolling: Conduct regular interior rounds of the designated areas to identify security risks or maintenance issues.
• Incident Response: Respond immediately to facility issues, spills, or equipment malfunctions, and assist security personnel with emergency response plans.
• Public Safety & Policy: Provide a professional security presence, gently enforcing facility rules and assisting visitors with directions and inquiries.
• Operational Support: Assist with the secure setup and breakdown of special events and educational programs, including moving furniture and equipment.
• Facility Oversight: Perform light cleaning duties (trash removal) to ensure the facility meets professional standards and remains hazard-free.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Security Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a security or facility oversight role (experience in cultural institutions or high-traffic public buildings is preferred).
• Vigilance: Strong observational skills and a proactive mindset regarding safety and security.
• Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle policy enforcement with a customer-service approach.
• Physical Readiness: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in security or facilities management is a plus).
