Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Security Alarm Sales Consultant role based in Houston, TX, with a mix of on-site client visits and work-from-home activities. The Security Alarm Sales Consultant will identify prospective customers, conduct needs assessments, and present tailored security alarm solutions for residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities include generating leads, following up on inquiries, performing on-site surveys, and preparing detailed proposals and quotes. The role involves explaining system features, demonstrating equipment, handling objections, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial contact to signed agreement. The consultant will also coordinate with installation and support teams to ensure a smooth handoff, monitor customer satisfaction after installation, and maintain accurate records of meetings, forecasts, and sales activities in the CRM.

Qualifications

  • Strong Sales Consulting and Consulting skills, with the ability to assess client needs and recommend appropriate security alarm solutions.
  • Proven focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, including building trust, managing expectations, and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain technical concepts clearly and negotiate effectively with diverse customers.
  • Prior experience in security systems, home services, or related field sales is preferred; knowledge of alarm systems, monitoring services, or smart home technology is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and manage a pipeline of prospects.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools, email, and virtual meeting platforms to track, communicate, and present to clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site client visits in the Houston, TX area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales training is beneficial.
